Assistants support

The University of Siedlce was the first university in Poland to provide higher education for students with disabilities in 1989.

The role of an assistant is to support students with disabilities in all activities related to the learning process and functioning at the university.

Assistant duties include:
  • – helping to complete documents related to studies,
  • – helping with note-taking during classes,
  • – assisting students with mobility impairments in overcoming architectural barriers, reaching classes, and moving between university buildings,
  • – informing students about university adjustments,
  • – assisting in contacting lecturers to obtain teaching materials,
  • – supporting students with disabilities in completing formalities in dean’s offices and other units,
  • – helping to use library resources.


Assistance is provided upon request by submitting an application for a support assistant.
The assistant’s help is free of charge.
